Osnovnye prichiny vozniknoveniya pogreshnostei pri otsenke temperatur vozdukha v proshlom metodom obshchego klimaticheskogo diapazona “OKD” (ili Mutual Climatic Range – MCR method) – nedostatochnaya izuchennost' arealov, primenenie formul kalibrovki, vyvedennykh dlya drugogo regiona, otsutstvie kriteriev otbora vidov dlya vklyucheniya v analiz v zavisimosti ot ikh ekologii i kharaktera rasprostraneniya. Maksimal'noe otklonenie rekonstruirovannoi temperatury iyulya, vyzvannoe rassmotrennymi pogreshnostyami, mozhet sostavit' 2–4°S, chto v 2–3 raza bol'she prinyatoi tochnosti metoda. Sformulirovany trebovaniya k vyborke vidov iskopaemykh nasekomykh dlya dostizheniya maksimal'noi tochnosti rekonstruktsii.
