Issledovana prostranstvennaya dinamika geomagnitnykh variatsii i pul'satsii, polyarnykh siyanii i riometricheskogo pogloshcheniya vo vremya razvitiya glavnoi fazy supersil'noi magnitnoi buri 7–8 noyabrya 2004 g. Pokazano, chto intensivnye vozmushcheniya nablyudalis' ne v nochnom sektore, kak eto obychno proiskhodit vo vremya magnitnykh bur', a v rannem utrennem sektore avroral'nykh shirot. Neobychnaya prostranstvennaya dinamika byla vyyavlena v nachale glavnoi fazy buri. Pri Bz MMP poryadka –45 nTl nablyudalas' bystraya polyarnaya ekspansiya vozmushchenii ot geomagnitnykh shirot 65–66° do 74–75° i razvitie tak nazyvaemoi “subburi polyarnoi shapki” s amplitudoi otritsatel'noi bukhty do 2500 nTl, soprovozhdayushcheisya vysypaniem energichnykh elektronov (riometricheskim pogloshcheniem) i generatsiei Pi2–Pi3 pul'satsii. Zatem maksimum geomagnitnoi aktivnosti rezko peremestilsya k ekvatoru 60–61°. Prostranstvennaya dinamika zapadnoi elektrostrui, geomagnitnykh pul'satsii Pi2–Pi3 i riometricheskogo pogloshcheniya byla podobnoi, chto mozhet svidetel'stvovat' ob ikh obshchem istochnike.
