New Data on the Biology and Distribution of Palaearctic Tachinids (Diptera, Tachinidae) V. A. Richter Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, 199034 Russia Received March 24, 2005
New data on tachinids of Turkmenia are presented. Two new hosts are recorded for Exorista segregata Rd.: Beralade (Chilena) sordida Erschoff and Eriogaster henkei Stgr. (Lasiocampidae). Carcelia lucorum was reared from larva of Acimba spectabilis Tausch. (Arctiidae). Cestonia grisella Mesnil was reared from larva of Alophia combustella H.-S. (Pyralidae); it is the first host record for this species. The Holarctic species Trafoia arctica Sack described from Novaya Zemlya is found on the southern island of the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago. Phorinia aurifrons Rob.-Desv. previously known in the Far East of Russia only from Kunashir Island is recorded from Khabarovsk Territory. Myxexoristops bonsdorffi Zetterstedt, Cleonice keteli Ziegler and Loewia latifrons Mesnil are for the first time found in Primorskii Territory, and Dionaea flavisquamis Rob.-Desv., in Kazakhstan. New localities are recorded for species of the Caucasian fauna. References - J. E. O'Hara and D. M. Wood, “Catalogue of the Tachinidae (Diptera) of America North of Mexico,” Mem.
